Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effect of Good Corporate Governance on the Financial Performance of banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the 2016-2018 period simultaneously and partially. The sample used was 36 banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The data analysis technique used in this study was quantitative, with multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicated that Good Corporate Governance had a positive and significant effect simultaneously on the financial performance of Banking Companies. And partially the Board of Commissioners and the Board of Directors had a positive and significant effect on financial performance. Audit Committee and Institutional Ownership, had not a significant positive effect on the financial performance of Banking Companies. Managerial ownership had not effect and was not significant on the financial performance of banking companies.
