Abstract

This research is useful to enrich and increase Indonesian culture. This research focuses on the analysis of literary element of Babad Sejarah Madura, Babad Giri Kedhaton and Serat Pararaton. This research employs the concept of babad as a historical literary work. The research data are the translation works of the manuscripts of Babad Sejarah Madura, Babad Giri Kedhaton and Serat Pararaton. The technique of collecting data is a documentation study.The technique data analysis is content and descriptive analysis. The finding shows that the literary element seen in Babad Sejarah Madura, Babad Giri Kedhaton and Serat Pararaton covers mythology, legend, extraordinariness, symbolism and suggestion.
