Abstract
Stocking density has an important role for the survival rate of fish, especially the cultivation of the semi-intensive and intensive technology. For a medium-sized fish seed gouramy ,stocking density is a factor that must be considered in order to obtain optimum yields. This study aims to determine the effect of stocking density on viability seed gouramy (Osphronemus gouramy Lac). The experimental design used in this study is completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 treatments and 9 repetitions. Each treatment was given stocking rate A = 10 tails / l, B = 15 taisl / l and C = 20 tails / l. The test animals used in the form of seed gouramy with average weight of 0.23 gr / head. Seed gouramy was stocked in the aquarium that measures 60 cm x 29 cm x 33 cm and a capacity of 40 liters of water. And aquarium filled with 35 liters of fresh water. Frequency of feeding two times a day with a dose of 3% of the weight of the biomass. Variables observed only seed gouramy survival rate of gouramy. The results showed that treatment A with stocking density 10 tails / l gave the greatest results on the survival of seed gouramy is 97.52%. Then followed the treatment of B and C respectively 93.69% and 91.60%.
