Abstract
Temperature has an important role to hatching eggs of fish catfish, either natural or artificial hatching. Hatchability is a factor that must be considered to obtain the maximum larval survival. This study aims to determine the effect of different water temperatures to hatchability fish catfish. Experimental design used in this study is completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 6 replications. Each treatment was given water temperature A = 260C, B = 280C, C = D = 300C and 320C. The object of the test in the form of fish eggs as much as 6 tail catfish / liter. The container used in the form of research sterofoam size of 30 liters. However strerofoam only filled with 15 liters of fresh water. The variables measured were hatchability of eggs of fish catfish. The results showed that treatment of C with a temperature of 30 0C gives the greatest results in the hatchability of eggs of fish catfish is 86.67%. Then followed the trial D, B and A respectively 83.5%, 80.5% and 77.17%. Water quality data for the study sequentially pH ranging from 7.6 to 7.8 and the dissolved oxygen ranges from 4.0 to 4.8 ppm.
